Christ and His Glory
Nov 3, 2024 • Jon Paul Dennison
We behold the glory of Christ by faith in this life and by sight in the next. We have difficulty by faith because we only perceive a reflection, are limited by our lack of faith, and are constantly losing sight of His glory as we are distracted by other earthly matters. In his last work, the great Puritan theologian and "Prince of the English Divines," John Owen, compiled his meditations and discourses on "The Glory of Christ." On the morning of his death, he was told it would be published, to which he replied, "I am glad to hear it; but the long wished-for day has come at last, in which I shall see the glory in another manner than I have ever done, or was capable of doing in the world."
