The Helper

It wasn't good that man was alone, first because God purposed the earth to be filled with His image, next because He intended the man to be given a complimentary helper of his kind, and finally because through the woman's seed a Savior would come.
The helper God gave Adam is only fully understood when childbearing and salvation come together. The mystery of marriage is great, and in the formation, separation, and consummation of man and woman, the shadows of salvation are cast.
