Life & the Knowledge of Good & Evil

For Adam, eating of the Tree of Life would preserve the garden paradise of Eden. But hidden in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was another world of which Adam had never tasted. The unknown heights and untold lows of all of history lie bound up in that tree unconceivable to the man who never before knew of evil or death.

In eating, not only did Adam manifest life outside of paradise, but he would now begin to define good and evil, something only God can truly do. Humanity will begin to try and do what only God can and be who only God is. Jesus' death on the tree demonstrated that though we were the ones who somehow brought the greatest evil out of the greatest good, He somehow brought the greatest good out of the greatest evil.
