Perfection

Perfection is not the "enemy of good" or the "enemy of progress," but the only standard for good and the only true progress for a sinful world. Contrary to popular belief, perfection is not the enemy of rest, but the only actual means by which it truly comes. The world is not at rest because it is not in a state of perfection, and we will not be at rest until we find ourselves in the One who is perfect.

Our perfect God is the one who first rested, and the One who gave us rest. In Christ, perfection is counted to every believer, commanded of every believer, and the final state of every believer. It is a reality only because God Himself is the source of perfection, and is pleased to conform us likewise.
