Beyond Our Control

Often we find ourselves in situations outside of our control. Right after Jesus tells His disciples following Him will be difficult, He takes them through a storm. As the boat fills with water, the disciples find themselves in a situation they can do nothing about on their own.

After Jesus calms the storm and they dock, the disciples witness two men with thousands of demons, a situation they themselves are powerless to change. But Jesus has compassion upon them and casts the demons into a herd of pigs.

What a reminder this is that even though we are powerless to control the natural or supernatural, Jesus is Lord over them both.
