Faithful Asking, Seeking, & Knocking

When Jesus repeatedly promises that we will receive what we ask for, we must understand ourselves as dependent children with a Father who desires to give us the good things we truly need. Jesus’ promise that “everyone who asks receives” is ultimately fulfilled when our desire is in line with our Father’s will, we ask in genuine and abiding faith, and in obedience to His commands, out of love for Him, for the purpose of bearing fruit.
