Giving and Righteousness

Jesus' call to righteousness goes beyond our outward actions, to our inward motivations. Performing religious acts to be noticed is as unrighteous before God as neglecting them altogether. The generosity to which Jesus calls his disciples is not to be done to be recognized by others, but actually to be such a normal part of our lives, that in a way, it isn't even recognized by us.
